Going Deeper Into Spiritual Stories
Author: Author
When any of us listen to or read parables the lessons they contain are quite complex on many levels and these spiritual stories often cause us to reconsider the meaning of what we have heard long after the tale has been completed. Every time we revisit a story, we gain new insight and begin to understand the whole meaning of the story a little bit at a time.
A spiritual parable is rather like the 3D pictures that were popular many years ago. You may remember the elaborate pages of art that had hidden pictures within them. Some people couldn’t even see the hidden images within the pictures when they were prompted. This is because they couldn’t see the hidden wisdom buried underneath the pretty pictures. It is much the same with spiritual stories. When people hear a story, at first they may not always understand the wisdom contained within it.
The benefits to these spiritual parables are in the challenge to our thinking and also the growth that they bring to an individual’s spiritual and emotional being. There is no right or wrong message. The experience is a completely unique and personal one. This may very well be the best gift that sharing spiritual stories can bring. There is no need to lecture or preach to have people gain wisdom and some understanding. These stories concisely point out lessons and obligations that all can gain from in some way.
Spiritual stories that have spiritual knowledge and lessons to share offer benefit to all who hear them and read them and this knowledge does not leave us. Although the specific words in a story may fade to the back of our memory over time, we still remember the lessons we learned. Therefore, whenever needed we can still draw upon it.

Intuition, imagination, and instinct. These are 3 words, three concepts that people often find difficult to distinguish between. It is time to clear up that confusion. In this article, I will help you to clarify the differences between the three once and for all, starting with understanding instinct.
Your instincts are your inherent genetic survival drives. Every creature, large or small, that has a nervous system has instincts, as they are a basic survival tool for any living creature. They do not require any intelligence, nor do they involve any kind of inspired guidance from your Higher Self. Instincts are part of the basic drives wired into your physiology by nature.
Imagination, on the other hand, is something much more sublime and interesting. It is a powerful creative force driven by your thoughts, desires, and intentions (conscious or not). Your imagination has the ability to craft visions of value in the manifestation of your reality. While driven by your mind, the imaginative process uses many of the same inner senses as your intuition does to evoke into being new situations, possibilities, even entire new worlds. Your imagination is directed by your will, and is a powerful tool in the conscious creation process.
Using your imagination as a gateway or portal, you can experience inspiration and bring forth creativity. In other words, imagination and inspiration can serve as both the pathway to, and facilitators of, your intuition. When you visualize a place within your mind, your imagination creates an ideal internal space from which you can access and interact with your intuitive self, receiving insights and information from your subconscious mind and from your Higher Self.
As you can see, your imagination is a valuable tool and passageway as you travel the path of intuitive development. The imaginary environments and situations you evoke in your mind can form a potent backdrop and foundation for your intuitive practices. To take just one example, when you practice guided visualization, your imagination sets the scene and summons from the void an appropriate environment in which you can open yourself higher, more intuitive states of mind that are only accessible through your inner intuitive senses.
Working with your imagination to access your ‘inner realm’ is explored in detail in the Intuition Zone program. If you are prepared to begin this exploration, take the first step and visit http://IntuitionZone.info
